Remote Home Security

Remote guarding systems have completely revolutionized home security technology. They have four basic elements that keep them ticking; high quality cameras, motion detection systems, recording devices and a remote alarm/monitoring system. The cameras in most cases are night-capable meaning that they have a special lighting feature which casts an IR beam on the area of observation.

The IR beam allows the camera to amplify all light (both invisible and visible) and capture all sound and pictures. The whole mechanism is triggered by a motion detection system. Depending on the type you have installed in your property, the motion detection system can vary from 'local' sensors to ultrasonic or even IR motion sensors and the digital motion sensors. The motion sensors trigger recording until signs of motion are no longer detected or have stopped. They can at the same time be set to send alert signals back to you or better yet activate an internal alarm or activate floodlights.

The basic remote guarding system only requires you to have a power source whereas the more complex ones have better features such as; alarm alerts sent to you via text messages or email - all you need is either internet or phone access. Some service providers have come up with an ingenious idea; providing GSM enabled systems for truly remote installations.

State of the art digital based systems such as the remote guarding system has a lot of advantage compared to other home security systems. First, you can have a system tailored to work without necessary putting the security lights on. They can only be activated if motion is detected; this translates to cheaper electricity bills. Secondly, unlike an ordinary alarm system, digital guards are used to record videos, images and other details which can be used by police authorities to apprehend trespassers and burglars.

Home security technology such as the remote guarding system have proven effective in preventing theft, vandalism and trespassing among other security issues. The sensors trigger remote or internal alarms and activate floodlights whenever intruders try to gain access to your property. This scares them away and you can be pretty sure about the safety of your property and investment.
